Cercle del Design was born as an analogue response to an accelerated, hyperconnected and fragmented time, in which design risks losing touch with what makes it essential: direct experience, process, and human connection. It is a physical, private and nomadic community that places people, objects, spaces and shared time at its core. A curatorial environment where design is understood as a cultural and economic infrastructure, founded on direct relationships between those who design, produce, narrate and choose.
Rooted in the Catalan capital yet shaped by a bridge between Barcelona and Milan: Barcelona as a material laboratory, a place of experimentation, proximity and life; Milan as system, method, industry and project culture. Two different cities, united by the same attention to process and quality.
Cercle brings together industry and craftsmanship, serial production and unique pieces, design and gesture. It welcomes architects, interior designers, companies, journalists, students, makers and hybrid figures between art and design, fostering a deeply analogue culture of making.
Cercle creates contexts in which design can be seen, understood and chosen. It is also a showcase—but a conscious one: based on selection, storytelling and vision. Visibility is not an end in itself, but a consequence of relationships built over time.
Through physical encounters, shared experiences and unmediated dialogue, Cercle del Design exists to create real connections, tangible professional opportunities, and to strengthen the cultural positioning of the territory, also on an international level.
It is a space for those who want to do, to be, to collaborate, to belong. For those who believe that design is a tool for building the future. Because the future of design—as well as the future of the world ahead of us—depends today more than ever on a conscious return to the real. The purpose is to design together what we will become through doing, the shape we will give to time as we move through it.
Born from an idea by Guendalina Perelli, a true Milanese, Cercle del Design is a movement that aims to build the future of design in Barcelona. Weaving relationships, reclaiming the specific weight of the human and the analogue, without the mediation of a screen. Inhabiting a real experience.
