This MACBA Friends activity introduces Birds-Kites, the first milestone in the Aurèlia Muñoz Centenary, through a visit with Aida Roger, assistant curator of the centenary programme. The session focuses on three textile works from 1982 installed in the museum atrium, highlighting their relationship with architecture, light and audience. Originally conceived to fly over large venues, the Birds-Kites transform the perception of space and position Muñoz’s practice between textile sculpture, spatial installation and architectural imagination.
